Why Choose Guwing Green
Engineers, Not Salespeople
Our SAA-accredited engineer will design your system and stays your point of contact from design through to installation. Every recommendation is based on your roof and energy needs.
Engineer-Designed Systems
An SAA-accredited design engineer plans the system around your roof, including its pitch, orientation, shading and inverter location, before the final system is recommended.
Installed by Our Own Accredited Team
Installation is carried out by Guwing Green’s own SAA-accredited installers, not handed off to subcontracted crews. Our installation team brings more than 25 years of rooftop experience.
Sized Around How You Use Energy
We review 12 months of electricity bills to understand how much power you actually use, then size the system accordingly. No standard package simply because it is convenient to sell.
Equipment Chosen for the Job
Panels and inverters are assessed on factors such as efficiency, warranty terms, temperature performance and hail resistance. We recommend equipment based on the system requirements, not a preferred sales quota.
Clear Quotes
Your quote clearly shows what is included, from panels and racking to rebates and expected payback. You can see what you are paying for and how the numbers have been worked out.
One Team for Ongoing Support
Residential installations include a 5-year whole-of-system warranty, with support handled directly by our Five Dock team. One phone number, one accountable team.

Technology Neutral
We Choose the Technology to Fit the System
We are not tied to a single manufacturer or product range. We assess the requirements of your property and recommend panels, inverters and energy technology based on performance, compatibility, warranty support and what suits the system being designed.
Panels
- REC
- Aiko
- Tindo
We select panels based on factors such as efficiency, temperature performance, durability, warranty terms and suitability for your roof and system design.
Inverters & Energy Technology
- Tesla
- Sigenergy
- Enphase
- Sungrow
- GoodWe
The inverter and energy technology are matched to the system, whether the priority is solar performance, battery storage, monitoring, backup capability or future expansion.

Why Do Solar Panel Installation Prices Vary So Much?
Two solar quotes can look similar on the surface while covering very different systems, equipment and levels of service. When comparing prices, it is worth looking beyond the total figure and understanding what is actually included.
- 01
The Equipment Being Specified
Panels, inverters and batteries vary in performance, warranty terms and suitability for different applications.
We assess factors such as efficiency, temperature performance, durability, warranty support and compatibility with the overall system rather than selecting equipment on price alone.
- 02
What the Quote Actually Includes
A lower headline price does not always mean you are comparing like for like. Equipment, mounting hardware, electrical work, monitoring, system design and other inclusions can differ between quotes.
A clear proposal should show what is being installed and give you enough information to understand what you are paying for.
- 03
The Installation and Aftercare
The quality of the installation matters just as much as the equipment on the roof.
When comparing providers, look at who will carry out the installation, their accreditation and experience, what workmanship protection is provided, and who you will contact if you need support after the system is commissioned.

How Solar Can Reduce Your Energy Costs
A well-sized solar system can improve the economics of your property in three main ways: using more of the electricity you generate, reducing the upfront cost through available incentives, and receiving credits for eligible energy exported to the grid.
1. Use More of Your Own Solar
The electricity you use directly from your solar system is electricity you do not need to buy from your retailer.
Running flexible loads such as washing machines, dishwashers and pool pumps during solar-generating hours can help you use more of your own power and reduce your reliance on grid electricity.
2. Reduce the Upfront Cost With STCs
Eligible solar installations can receive Small-scale Technology Certificates, or STCs, under the Australian Government’s Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme. Their value is commonly applied as an upfront reduction in the cost of the system.
The number of STCs depends on factors including system capacity, installation date and location.
3. Earn Credits for Energy You Export
When your system generates more electricity than you are using, the excess can be exported to the grid.
Many NSW electricity retailers offer a feed-in tariff for exported solar, although they are not required to do so and rates vary between plans. It is worth comparing the whole electricity plan rather than the feed-in tariff alone.
Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs About Our Solar Panel Installation Service
Choosing a solar installer is a significant decision, so it pays to ask the right questions. Here are some of the questions we regularly answer for homeowners considering solar.
Full FAQ libraryHow much solar do I need?
Residential systems generally start at 6kW and can go up to 20kW. We size yours from four quarters of your electricity bills to calculate your average usage, then assess your roof type, pitch, orientation and shading, so the number comes out of your meter data, not a package.
Do I need a battery?
Not necessarily. We engineer a solar solution with battery storage where it makes sense for how you use electricity, and every system we design is future-proofed for home batteries and EV charging, so the decision can be made now or later.
Is the government rebate included?
The federal government offers Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) as part of Australia’s Renewable Energy Target. The amount you receive depends on your system’s size, its installation date and where you live, and your quote explains every line item including rebates. Larger commercial systems currently sit outside the scheme.
What warranties and after-sales support are provided?
Residential installs include a 5-year whole-of-system warranty. We are an Australian-owned and operated company based in Five Dock, NSW, and we handle our warranties directly. If you have an issue, you call us on 1300 174 647.
How long does the entire process take?
An engineer or architect contacts you within 24 hours on business days. Designing an accurate solution normally takes 1 to 3 days, including any modifications you request. Once the design is approved it moves to project management, and it usually takes around four weeks to get to an install. The install itself takes 1 to 4 days depending on complexity.
Are your installers SAA accredited?
Yes. Guwing Green is a NETCC Approved Seller, with SAA-accredited design engineers and SAA-accredited installers. Installs are carried out in house rather than by subcontracted crews.
